Self- Certification Smile Partners of Havre de Grace

As of May 11, 2020, Smile Partners of Havre de Grace certifies that we are in full compliance with the requirements outlined by the Maryland Department of Health and Hygiene for the practice of elective and non-urgent dental care. A copy of this certification will be posted in the entrance to the practice for public review. We will also post this certification on our web site.

After professional assessment, the dental practice will use a phased-in approach to offering dental services. Effective Thursday, May 14, the Practice will begin to schedule non-urgent and elective procedures. Dental Hygiene will be offered on Monday, May 18, 2020.

The Practice verifies that it has and will maintain at least a full week’s supply of all needed PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for clinical, support staff and patient (as appropriate). Vender support is operational for ongoing supplies. If supplies become unavailable, the Practice will immediately restrict operations to urgent and non-elective procedures.

Social distancing procedures for clinical, support staff and patients are in effect. This includes waiting in a car for appointments, physical plexiglass barriers, distancing markers, limiting staff to 10 or less in the break room and re-alignment of seating in break room.

All patients and staff are screened for possible signs of infection upon arrival for visit or shift. This includes a temperature check and a symptom questionnaire. Procedures to manage any positive findings in patients or staff is in effect. At no time will any staff member be allowed to work if they exhibit any symptoms of Covid-19 or other infectious disease. Return to work, for those who were compromised, will require a clearance by a physician.

The Practice has reviewed and enhanced its infection control procedures to ensure it meets the current CDC guidelines. This includes the use of masks by patients and staff and enhanced disinfection procedures during office operation.
